Would you share the secrets you learned about yourself along the way?

I remember the day when I realized that my own health was my own responsibility. Many years ago, during a short 4 month period, I packed on 30 lbs. Since then, I have tried EVERY weight loss program out there. From Weight Watchers to Atkins, you name it, I’ve done it. I tried spinning, running, hot yoga, hot pilates, weight training, Keto, Ayurveda, The Master Cleanse, and finally, Noom.

Sound exhausting? Sound crazy? Sound familiar?

At the end of the day, there was one striking similarity between all of these health and wellness systems. That one common denominator– was ME! And the bigger picture went far beyond weight loss.

What I discovered is that I had to change my thought process. I had to embrace the concept that total health is more than just diet and exercise. The third, and possibly most important part, is how you FEEL about yourself. Shifting habits and changing what you “do” in life is really what Mind Body Wellness is all about.

To be honest, I still haven’t lost the full 30 lbs. But at this very moment, I can say I am the healthiest I’ve ever been.

Can I run a 5k without stopping? No.

Can I fit into a size 8? Also no.

But, I stay active, meditate daily, and am absolutely not afraid to try something new. In these last 20+ years, I’ve learned to embrace what it means to be the best version of me. Along the way, I’ve accepted the worst parts of me, and grew from them. I hope you’ll join me and become a part of our growing community into Mind Body Wellness.
